Library Blog list wiki

As suggested, I set up a wiki for this list, to allow for easier updating and accessing.
I’ll be inviting a few others to co-author it, as many hands make light work!

So, here’s the address, come have a look: www.uklibraryblogs.pbwiki.com/

If you’re on the list and would like to give yourself a better synopsis than I’ve managed, please get in touch either via the email here (in oh-so-cunning code on the right, below my profile), or via the link on the wiki. Also, if you’d like to be removed from the list too.

Hopefully, we’ll manage to get a nice comprehensive list together on there, and then get RSS feeds from all the listed blogs going…or something technical like that. Grown-ups are going to help me!

  1. Fantastic stuff Jennie, I’m so pleased you’ve got it up and running! If you would like any help at all please let me know, I certainly don’t mind lending a hand in helping to further develop the resource.I noticed the UK doesn’t yet have an entry for LibWorld (http://infobib.de/blog/features/libworld/), this resource could definitely help in creating a UK post.

  2. Funny you should say that Jo – I was asked to write about the Scottish library blogging scene for them, but as you’ll see (if I add my own blog in to the list – oops!!), there’s not much in the way of Scottish library bloggers that I could find! Think the CILIP Career Development Group Presidents blog is the only other one at the moment…I think she’s Scottish…There’s really no need to split it into the smaller regions, UK’s the way forward for now! There’s no reason a UK post on LibWorld couldn’t be done by anybody else – there’s still a lot of reading and assessing of all these blogs to be done, and more to be collected I’m sure, so if you want to start the ball rolling for that, got for it!

  3. This is fab Jennie. Thanks so much for taking the time to pull together a list and to transfer it into a wiki! It’s a brilliant resource, especially for someone like me who is relatively new to blogging.Oh, I also had a quick peek at your other comments and in response to one, I’d just like to confirm that I’m a Scottish blogger too!!
